Name Game
A dance activity to improvise movement and demonstrate use of spatial elements in response to verbal cues.
Step 1
Stand in a circle and create a movement that lasts the span of saying your name. Pick a student to demonstrate his/her
own movement first.
Step 2
The whole group follows by repeating that student’s name movement. The game continues as each student, one at a time, performs their name movement repeated by the group.
Step 3
Once each student and whole group has demonstrated their name/movement, challenge the whole group to recall all the movements by memory.
